TOWN OF CIRCLEVILLE MINUTES

February 9, 2023

The regular meeting of the Circleville Town Council was called to order at 6:05PM by Mayor Cordell Pearson. Council Members attending were: Shane Robinson, Stacie Gass, and Shirl Fox. Kristi Westwood was excused.  Mekeisia Westwood, Town Clerk was also in attendance.

Public attendees were: Lonnie Kiser, Sharon Kiser, Rex Waddington, Michael Naser, Sydney Wells, and Scott Peterson.

Mayor Pearson led the pledge and Stacie offered the prayer to open the proceedings. Shane made a motion to approve the minutes from the January 16, 2023 meeting.  Stacie seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.

There were no Public Items to be discussed.

The mayor called on those not on the agenda. There were none.

Michael Naser was in attendance to discuss the water project.  The bid on the well has been awarded to Cluff Drilling. 

Stacie has been in contact with some engineering firms for the mapping of the cemetery.  There is a grant available for cemetery mapping.  She has been working on the application for the grant of $10,000.  

Sharon Kiser had a map of the cemetery with the sections listed. She has been working on a listing of burial plots and who is buried where.    

The Mayor opened the floor to the Departments.

Planning and Zoning/Cemetery: If anyone has any information on the history of the cemetery, please contact Sharon Kiser at 360-606-5583. 

The bills and budget variance reports were presented and reviewed by the council. Shane made a motion to approve the bills and budget variance reports and adjourn; Shirl seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.  The meeting was adjourned at 7:02.
