TOWN OF CIRCLEVILLE MINUTES

March 10, 2022

The regular meeting of the Circleville Town Council was called to order at 6:02 PM by Mayor Cordell Pearson. Council Members attending were: Kristi Westwood and Shirl Fox.  Stacie Gass attended via FaceTime.  Shane Robinson was excused.  Mekeisia Westwood, Town Clerk was also in attendance.

Public attendees were: TJ Beus, Roxie Beus, Troy Robinson, Sharon Kiser, Lonnie Kiser, and Brad Christensen.

Mayor Pearson led the pledge and Kristi offered the prayer to open the proceedings. Kristi made a motion to approve the minutes from the February 8, 2022 meeting.  Shirl seconded, and the motion passed unanimously. 

TJ Beus was first on the agenda.  He wanted a business license for Wild Sage Silver Labs.  Kristi made a motion to approve the business license.  Shirl seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.  

Roxie Beus was in attendance for a water meter again.  UDOT has been contacted for a permit.  The permit is pending.  Kristi made a motion to approve the permit.  Shirl seconded.  The motion passed unanimously.  

Maynard Rogers was next on the agenda.  He is wanting to put a shed on his property.  Shirl made a motion, and Kristi seconded.  The motion passed unanimously.

Brad from Peterson Plumbing was in attendance.  He had billing options for the new electronic water meter readers.  He went over the different electronic readers and their different options.  

Sharon Kiser has been working on a record of burials at the cemetery.  She is going to share her document with board members to look at and go over.  

Stacie has been working on the State grant for the cemetery.  Troy has been working on measurements for the fence.  Stacie will keep working on the fence and the grant.

An update on the new park was discussed next.  The new benches, tables, and soccer goals are here.  The playground needs wood chips.  

The Mayor opened the floor to the Departments.

Parks & Recreation/Economic Development:  The Town Birthday party will be held March 28, 2022 at the new park.

Road Department:  There are some drainage problems on the east side of 100 E that need to be dug out.  Shirl will take care of those. The drainage box on the corner by Stan’s needs to be replaced.  

The bills and budget variance reports were presented and reviewed by the council.  Shirl made a motion to approve the bills and budget variance reports and adjourn; Kristi seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.  The meeting was adjourned at 8:02 PM.
