TOWN OF CIRCLEVILLE MINUTES
January 8, 2025
The regular meeting of the Circleville Town Council was called to order at 7:05PM by Mayor Kristi Westwood. Council Members attending were: Kaylie Barney, Stacie Gass and Shane Robinson. Shirl Fox was excused. Mekeisia Westwood, Town Clerk was also in attendance.
Mayor Westwood led the pledge and Mekeisia offered the prayer to open the proceedings. Shane made a motion to approve the minutes from the December 11, 2024 meeting. Kaylie seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
Public attendees were: Barbara Bake
Barbara Bake was first on the agenda wanting a 1-inch water meter. She has bought the lot at 160 East Main. Kaylie made a motion to approve the meter contingent upon the cost of boring under the highway, and Shane seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
The mayor called on those not on the agenda. There were none.
A Job Description and Employee Agreement were created for the Town Janitor job. Stacie made a motion to approve the Description and the Agreement, and Shane seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
The State of Utah requires all Officeholders to sign a Conflict of Interest statement. Stacie made a motion to approve the Conflict of Interest Statement. Kaylie and seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
The Mayor opened the floor to the Departments.
Parks & Recreation/Economic Development:
Planning & Zoning/Cemetery: The Planning & Zoning committee will start meeting on the 2nd Wednesday at 6:30pm.
The bills and budget variance reports were presented and reviewed by the council. Shane made a motion to approve the bills and budget variance reports and adjourn; Stacie seconded, and the motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 7:58pm.
