TOWN OF CIRCLEVILLE MINUTES
February 13, 2025
The regular meeting of the Circleville Town Council was called to order at 5:31PM by Mayor Kristi Westwood. Council Members attending were: Kaylie Barney, Stacie Gass and Shane Robinson. Shirl Fox attended by phone. Mekeisia Westwood, Town Clerk was also in attendance.
Mayor Westwood led the pledge and Kaylie offered the prayer to open the proceedings. Shane made a motion to approve the minutes from the January 8, 2025 meeting. Stacie seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
Public attendees were: Joe Dalton
Joe Dalton was in attendance asking for a ¾ inch water meter on his lot on 470 south. Shirl made a motion to approve the water meter, and Kaylie seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
Chris Roth applied for a business license for Butch Cassidy’s Hideout. They are in the process of purchasing the business. Stacie made a motion to approve the business license. Kaylie seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Next, Paul Wayman wanted a site permit for a house on his property. Stacie made a motion to approve the site permit, and Kaylie seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
The mayor called on those not on the agenda. There were none.
Stacie made a motion to approve Brett Remund as a new Planning and Zoning member. Shane seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
The Road Project was discussed next. The project is out for bids. The bids will be opened in March.
The Mayor opened the floor to the Departments.
Parks & Recreation/Economic Development: Circleville Town’s birthday party is being planned for March 31, 2025.
Water Department: The Wade’s Canyon Spring isn’t being collected into the water line. The collection box needs to be redeveloped.
The bills and budget variance reports were presented and reviewed by the council. Shane made a motion to approve the bills and budget variance reports and adjourn; Kaylie seconded, and the motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 6:13 pm.
