TOWN OF CIRCLEVILLE MINUTES

April 5, 2022

The regular meeting of the Circleville Town Council was called to order at 7:07 PM by Mayor Cordell Pearson. Council Members attending were: Kristi Westwood, Shane Robinson and Stacie Gass.  Shirl Fox was excused. Mekeisia Westwood, Town Clerk was also in attendance.

Public attendees were: Paul Wayman and Tyler Timmons.

 Mayor Pearson led the pledge and Mekeisia offered the prayer to open the proceedings. Stacie made a motion to approve the minutes from the March 10, 2022 meeting.  Kristi seconded, and the motion passed unanimously. 

Paul Wayman was first on the agenda.  He is wanting a site permit for a metal garage on his property.  Shane made a motion to approve the site permit.  Stacie seconded.  The motion passed unanimously.  

Robert Randall is wanting a business license for his Elite Boat Rental.  Kristi made a motion to approve, and Shane seconded.  The motion passed unanimously.

The mayor called on those not on the agenda. 

Tyler Timmons was in attendance to talk about the general plan.  The General Plan is almost complete.  The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to adopt the general plan.  Then the General Plan will be presented to the Town Council for approval.  

The Cemetery fence was discussed next.  The high school metal shop can build the rod iron fence.  The grant has to be submitted by May 31.  Mayor Pearson is going to find out how much steel rods and metal tubing will cost.  That will help to decide the design the Town chooses.  

The SLFRF funds were discussed next.  The tables, benches, garbage cans, and soccer goals were purchased using some of those funds.  The Board discussed some different options to use the rest of the funds.  

The Mayor opened the floor to the Departments.

Parks & Recreation/Economic Development:  Circleville Town Board would like to thank Kristi for the work she put into the Town Birthday party/Grand Opening of the new park.  The Easter Egg hunt will be held April 16 at the new park.  

Water Department:  Stetson Brindley has been hired as the new Water Meter reader.  Troy would like to remind everyone that all troughs need to have floats installed on them.

The bills and budget variance reports were presented and reviewed by the council.  Stacie made a motion to approve the bills and budget variance reports and adjourn; Shane seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.  The meeting was adjourned at 8:27  PM.
