TOWN OF CIRCLEVILLE MINUTES
September 11, 2024
The regular meeting of the Circleville Town Council was called to order at 7:00PM by Mayor Kristi Westwood. Council Members attending were: Stacie Gass, Shirl Fox, Kaylie Barney, and Shane Robinson. Mekeisia Westwood, Town Clerk was also in attendance.
Public attendees were: Blaine Skousen, Clay Skousen, Gary Morgan, Brett Remund, McKay Morgan, and David Lee.
Mayor Westwood led the pledge, and Mekeisia offered the prayer to open the proceedings. Shirl made a motion to approve the minutes from the August 15, 2024 meeting. Stacie seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
Town Clerk, Mekeisia Westwood swore in Kaylie Barney as the new Circleville Town Council member.
Brett Remund was in attendance asking for a water meter for his lot on 930 south. Shirl made a motion to approve the water meter, and Shane seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
Next on the agenda, Clay and Blaine Skousen were asking for two site permits on their property out on the Birch Creek road. Shirl made a motion to approve the two site permits. Stacie seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
The mayor called on those not on the agenda. There were none.
Mckay was in attendance asking for a water meter to be moved. He has a water meter on 470 south that he wants to move to 100 East. He also has a water meter on 930 south that he wants to be hooked up and turned back on. Shirl made a motion to move the water meter, and Shane seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
Gary Morgan was appointed as the new Planning and Zoning Commission member. Stacie made the motion, and Shirl seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
The Mayor opened the floor to the Departments.
Road Department: Shirl has finished the cement bin for the road patch. Shirl will be purchasing road patch materials.
Planning and Zoning/Cemetery: The old cemetery fence has been removed and the material for the new fence will be here September 19.
Parks & Recreation/Economic Development: Circleville Town Board would like to thank everyone for their help with the Circleville Town service project on September 7.
The bills and budget variance reports were presented and reviewed by the council. Shirl made a motion to approve the bills and budget variance reports and adjourn; Shane seconded, and the motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 7:55pm.
